BHRC’s legal adviser Jowita Mieszkowska will be speaking at a workshop: “Shifting Boundaries of Public and Private Law” hosted by the Asser Institute in the Hague and Queen Mary University of London, on the 17 November. The focus of the workshop is the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, human rights due diligence and corporate compliance mechanisms including industry self-regulation.
Jowita will be discussing some of the unintended consequences of the proposed draft of the EUCSDD and specifically its effects on livelihoods.
