Mass atrocity crimes, such as forced organ harvesting, present significant challenges that require creative and collaborative approaches to fill evidence gaps and support action from legislators and organizations.

In 2019, the China Tribunal, chaired by Sir Geoffrey Nice KC, concluded that forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in China was occurring on a mass scale, killing the victims in the process. This landmark judgment has propelled global action to address this crime against humanity.

In line with these efforts, GRC published a world-first Legal Advisory Report and Policy Guidance. This publication outlines the business and human rights obligations and complicity risks for stakeholders in organ transplantation medicine when interacting with countries where organ trafficking is prevalent.

Speakers:

Cheng Pei Ming – Survivor of forced organ harvesting.

Alexa Jeremy – Legal and Communications Manager, ETAC.

Lara Strangways – Head of Beyond Human Rights Compliance at Global Rights Compliance.

Alexander Cook – Member of Genocide Watch’s China task force.

Join this event to hear from survivors and experts, with presentations followed by a Q&A session.

This event highlights ongoing efforts to combat mass atrocity crimes and ensure justice for survivors.
